So the CEO, who'd laid off thousands of workers, is driving down the highway.
He spots one of his former employees hungrily gobbling the grass in the median strip.
He pulls his car over and hails him:
"Oh my god, don't do that. Who knows what kind of dirt or garbage is on that grass? I was just on my way home for dinner. Get in the car and come to my house."
"Thank you, that's so kind. But my wife's at home and starving too."
"We'll pick her up on the way."
"And my cousin who used to work for you, he's been
sleeping on the couch, and my uncle's there, and my three kids......"

"Now hold on, buddy. Just how big a lawn do you think I've got?"

Been up north for 26 years and counting this week. Came up for a summer job and never went back.

Seems that a good machinist never has a problem here. There are several good machine shops here in town and more outside anchorage....Things are a little slow in the oil service industry (my field), but normally heat up n the winter time....
