I took the 2007 Skeeter ZX 225 to the only two shops in Las Vegas I'd trust to work on the motor. Consensus was either a new power-head or rebuild this power-head. Engine has about 420 hours on it. Always allowed to warm up, clean fuel with stabilizer, not much running over 4200 RPM's. New poppet valve and new water pump kit recently.
Mechanic looked inside with a scope and though the engine turns over there is some scoring in #2 cylinder. All other cylinders test at 120lbs. compression. Conjecture is a failed injector. All other plugs are normal with a little carbon fouling on #4. They are asking at least 6 k+ for a rebuild or swap out here. Mechanics would not agree to a single cylinder rebuild cause no warranty. .I owe about 12,000 on the financing and am retired. Any suggestions or sources appreciated
