Re: CF NUMBERS AND pvc adhesive

Harbor cop pulls up to me, throwing a wake over my transom, cutting my line, to try to find a way to write me a ticket (ticket book literally in hand), stating right off the bat that I lack required safety gear. I point out that I am only 15', too short for the 16' requirements; besides which, I do meet all those safety gear requirements (and more), wanna come on board and see? No, no fine in that, he says.....

Geez. This guy really does need to take a chill. Tell him to go to In and Out' and get a burger and relax a bit. :D Seriously, I cannot imagine any instance when I lived on Catalina Island where Harbor Patrol, or other would give me grief similar to your experience. I bet he was rookie, on steroids or had too many Red Bulls. Sorry to hear this and he must be an anomaly.

Cheers,

CapeAnn

p.s. My CF numbers are attached on Hypalon using numbers created by a online graphics company. The adhesive is some type of 3M product and it will not come off. The CF numbers are pretty snazzy which I really like. The hardest part of the custom lettering was laying it on the hull and trying to remove the bubbles which can occur around smallish curves. This was easily solved with a pin which I used to perforate & bleed out the bubbles.
