I launched my boat Saturday and noticed my one of my bunks floating offthe trailer as my wife pulled away!! I used some screws and temporarily re-attached the bunk. My question is , can I safely jack the pontoons off the bunks and replace them at home or should I launch the boat and replace at the ramp?

I took mine to my local Marina, They lifted the boat off of the trailer. I then took it home replaced all the wood and then brought it back to the Marina where they reinstalled my pontoon boat to the trailer. So easy.

Thanks for the replies. I think I am going to try and jack mine up one side at a time and replace the bunks. Just don't want to damage anything!!

You can jack it up but use 4 x 4 `s on the crossmembers and not on the toons.

I had one fall off too, this spring as the wife was making the swing to park the trailer in the parking lot after she launched me. I had a portable drill and a bit and a spade bit and drilled and bolted through in the parking lot. I am making new bunk boards now and figure on launching and replacing them in the parking lot. We usually boat on week days when the ramps aren't very busy. I even had one guy who was heading out offer to help if I was having trouble. I thanked him but I thought that was an outstanding thing for him to do. I wouldn't try to replace them if the parking lot is packed. But on a slow day nobody cares.
