Change Impeller

On a Mercury 2006 25 HP EFI 4 stroke, is it possible to disconnect the shift rod at the joint by removing roll pin, and seperating them there? From what I have read so far, they say remove the starter and disconnect the shift rod there, Is there anywere to get a repair manual just for this motor?

Yep. Have serial number and order a manual from either a MERC dealer or on the Mercury website.
