1) Speed, Cornering
2) Quicksilver 2038P19 Aluminum
3) 13x19
4) 5400 @ 37 mph gps
5) Mercury Four Stroke (75ELPT 4S), 2005, 75, 1F75412DD (model #)
6) Tracker Pro Guide V16, 2006, 16' 1,194lbs

I know some of you like crunching prop performance #'s! I was thinking about a Turning Point aluminum prop over going stainless but if a stainless can get me something with that price attached im in for that too.

Thanks!

Look up the recommended rpm range for your motor and go from there.

Down in pitch to raise rpm; up in pitch to lower rpm.

Re: Change pitch or am I good?

Unless you have another issue like you mentioned cornering and want to spend your money and wonder if you are still as good as you can get I'd leave it alone.

You said cornering. If you are talking about ventilating in turns and have the right height of your AV plate to the bottom of your boat being it's alum and has a center piece which covers the center weld and causes turbulence in front of the prop, a cupped prop can help and the Turning Point Hustler is cupped, ported for hole shot, high rake for bow lift, and made from some tough alum....so the catalog shows....for about $100 on here. I have one along with my lot of SS for the current 90 2 stroke.

If you add it at the same pitch you will loose some of your 5400 in the cupping or you could spend $3-400 and go stainless with thin blades and get it back, jack your engine up a notch and move on up to 40. However, I don't know much about 4 stroke OBs and running high rpms. I run my 2 strokes over the upper limit and have for years. They love it. Again you may be better off just leaving well enough alone. But that's your call.

Re: Change pitch or am I good?

You currently have 11% slip, and are within the upper end of your RPM range for good holeshot performance.

Anything you try will be a gamble that costs money. Either you're make it worse, or you're make it very incrementally better.

If I were you I'd leave it, and make sure I had a 2nd identical prop for a spare in case something happens to this one and it's discontinued in the future.
