Change the red/red-white, blue etc etc

When changing the cables from the stator at the box. to see if the trouble with week spark on the eg number 1 and 2 coil. Can one change only the red with the red/white? Or only the blue with the blue/white?
The spark get so week that over 2000 rpm, it runs on two cyl of four.
After I changed the cables, all four.
It was worse than before.
Checking the ohm, is very difficult. the reading is all over the scale.
So two cables or four?

The red and blue are connected to the same coil, as are the red/w and blue/w.

The ohmmeter is used on disconnected wires with nothing running.

Have you checked the ground connection on the stator, which may be by a mounting screw, or may be by a wire coming out with the others.
