Everything went back together fine (after I bought the new speedometer coupler:redface: ) The key is in place. I had a little trouble with the plastic sleeve that mates with the copper tube. It kept tilting over when I would lift the drive. Filled with oil, let the muffs run about 30 secs & cranked engine. Water comes out of the transom mount and started to get warm after the temp climbed above 100. Then I thought better of it & shut it down because no water was blowing out of the prop hub. Engine was drained for winter.
Should I have waited for the temp to reach 150-60 & thermo open to see water from prop or did I miss the copper water tube?
I dread the answer but I will have to look at it as a learning stage...
