470 Mercruiser with bravo II outdrive, 1988 I think.
The book states to rotate the shaft clockwise while pushing the impeller into the housing.
Because the drive shaft turns the same direction when in forward or reverse (counter clockwise) when I turn the prop, I left it in forward and turned the prop, turning the shaft counterclockwise and pushing down on the impeller. Is this correct or does the impeller need to be facing in a clockwise direction? I am confused.
I did this last summer for the first times, think I did it wrong then two.
Thanks,
Glenn
