Changing Alternator Belt

3.0L Alpha.

I just changed the alternator belt. I removed the motor mount block to accomplish this but when I try to replace the block I cannot get the bolts started. I didn't block the engine.

Is it possible that the engine dropped a fraction and is causing this problem? The bolts look ok and will thread easily in the right size nut.

Yea with a piece of wood between a pipe and the corner of the oil pan lift it a bit.

Did you install an extra belt around the mount in case a belt goes on the water, and tie it around the mount out of the way.

Only thing you can do now is lift the engine, loosen the other bolts, get all the mount bolts tightened, and bolt it all back down. Then pull the drive and check the alignment.
That or plan on pulling the engine mid season to replace the coupler because it's way out of alignment and destroyed the coupler.

yep thats same thing that happened to me had to use my tie down strap to go under motor and left it up a little

Get yourself a scissor jack from an import car.

Place under alternator bracket.

Jack up and align bolts.

Voila!
