changing dope in lower uint

I have a classic 50 1987 and a 45 hp 1982 bot of which have the upper vent screw. But unlike past motors I have had no bottom drain srew. How do you change dope???????

Look at the front of the unit starboard side there is a drain

When you purchase the "dope" as you call it, you best ask for lower unit lub. If you ask for dope they will look at you funny and then send you to the manager. d

It's an old term. I have two tubes of lower unit lub. in garage but I know what you mean. Most managers over charge8)
