I have a 302 Ford in a 1970 26' Skiff Craft, and would like a little more rumble out of her. What kind of modifications can I make to get a little more noise?

I don't want anything to loud, my neighbor has thruhull exhaust with the silent choice, and thats not fitting for my needs... My boat just sound like a big sewing machine. Is there anything in between?

If you have room, you could attempt a custom exhaust using SS automotive glasspacks exiting to thru-hull tips...

Sounds to me like he's not looking for a thru-hull exhaust, just a throaty growl like an old Chris-Craft woodie might have.
I think what he wants is a resonator box. I get a lot of compliments about how my Silverton sounds and it has 2 fiberglass resonator boxes (1 per engine). They were already there when I bought the boat so I don't have any specific info.

Arks, Thats exactly what I'm looking for, the guy I bought "MyWoody" from has a 42' Chris Craft Commander, with twin 427's, and they rumble. Just right... does anyone know anything about Resonator Boxes?

I'm not against thru hull with stainless tips, I just don't want to run open pipes. Something toned down a bit...

Thanks for the help so far, its already helpful... back to Google

Ayuh,....

You've got Log Manifolds,....

None of those options are available to you.....
You don't have the space inside the hull....

Just cut the exhaust bellows off,...
That's about as Loud,+ Rumblin' as it gets for that motor,+ drive....

I would put some thru hull pipes on there & let it growl! A lot of boats here have open headers or thru hull exhaust. you can here them from a long ways away.

You migt be surprised at the little bit of different growl you'll get by going to the tub instead of bellows... It is noticible..
