Ok, so here's a crazy thought. Is it possible to convert my 23' Imperial cutty cabin into a bowrider?

Possible, yes. Practical, no.

Think of it like the roof on a unibody car they build it a lot DIFFERENT when its a convertible

So you would have to come up with a way to make the hull stiff enough with all that stuff missing

Its doable. The same hull is often used for different formats in a boats product line. You would need to do some fiberglass work to regain the integrity of the front once the cuddy portion is gone. That having been said, you might be best off selling the boat and buying a boat that better suits your needs. Once you modify a boat, it is very difficult to sell, and if you do sell it you won't get as much for it. I have modified the crap out of my boat to suit my needs, but I did it with a worthless hull and in the end knowing I would get nothing for it if I tried to sell it. You would be in the same "boat" unless you sold it to some unsuspecting shlub. Good luck...

I've seen people do amazing things with a chainsaw...turning a cuddy into a bowrider ain't one of them.

It would be so much work to make it strong enough in a boat that size. You really will have to sink quite a bit of time and money to be able to do that. Now take the boat you have now, sell it, work the time it will have taken you to do that, and you can have a very nice open bow.

what is to purpose of the conversion, do you want a fishing boat, open party boat? i agree with strizzy, sell the boat take the money you were going to spemd to convert, work and save for the year it was going to take, and buy a used or new boat. should be able to find one an it would be paid for or very close.
