Hi all, I know this has been discussed in the past but I am still a little unsure about something and fig'd I'd ask the experts. I blew up my 86 200 Johnny last summer (20 in shaft) I'd like to replace it with a 150 and have a great deal on a 25in shaft. I measured my transom and it is just over 20 inches high. What kind of problems/issues would I be looking at?

Going on my 20' Pro-line center console (in pics)

Thanks in advance everyone.

Major problems with drivability, Scuda.

Water over the transom, excessive drag.

Forget it.

Re: Changing Shaft Length

So exploring the possibility of a jack plate is prob not worth it? I guess the other option is to actually bring up the top of the transom. Although that work sounds not fun (I know all too well) I hate the fact that I NOW get water splashing over when I am drifting.
