I want to change the water impellor on my 10 hp honda 4 stroke. It is an older model, BF100. The only indentifying number is on the block, 197 cm3, and B100S 1501 791. The motor shroud is blue and white, the year is unknown. Do I have to disconnect the shifter linkage in the motor compartment for the prop housing to come off. The shifting linkage seems to be holding the prop housing on. I am waiting for a manual. I am also cleaning the varnish out of the carb, and replacing the thermostat as it was totally corroded up. The pasages seem clear but I need to flush it to be sure.

45_red, thanks for the reply. Once I removed the pin that held the shifter arm it came off no problem. I had a little fun putting the arm back on but I got it.

Thanks,
Kevin
