Chaparral 187 old boat new owner. Help

Well I have a new old boat in hand after letting my old project go.Here is what I am trying to do and what I need.
I need an owners manual for a 79 chaparral. have looked on their site and they dont have my boat listed.

What are some of the things that you would do to get your boat water ready.

i would make sure it is safe and stable. not carrying any excess weight as water in the foam. that the transom is solid and not rotted. cosmetics can come later. owners manuals are like hens teeth. usually lost by the 1st owner, and contained very little info, other than hype.

GO to CHap website , become a owners forum member (its free) and ask for a manual- the Chap Factory team monitors the website and will help you get a manual

I joined the site as soon as I got the boat. The have all the manuals except the year of my boat.
