Charger for starting and deep cycle

Are there any on-board chargers out there that can run one set of charging leads on a deep cycle profile, and the other set on a standard starting battery profile? I always top off my starting battery when charging my deep cycle with the Schumacher portable I have, but I'd like a single dedicated on-board.

You can buy a 2 bank charger and the charge profiles are identical between the two types of batteries. The charger doesn't care and the two types of batteries don't care either.

If you run the deep cycle down a lot more than the starting battery (say, with a lot of electric trolling), maybe you should consider a 2-bank with more amps on the second bank (like a 5amp/10amp), or one of the new generation chargers with "distributed charge" feature that pours more amps into the second bank once the first bank is done.

So it doesn't really matter then what type of charger I hook up, as long as it is a "smart" 2 bank charger?

For lead-acid batteries, true. If you have a gel or AGM, check with the mfg if not stated.
