Charging Coil Question ???

I have a Johnson 1978 V4 115Hp M#115ML78C and according to the chaging coil test teh resistance should be 560 Ohms with a low end tolreance at 480 ohms, this is between the A & B pins on the connector. Mine is at 297 ohms. Will this cause a low charge spark or just lower then the rated 6 Amp charge on the Battery?

Hi..
That depends if it is the ignition charge coil you are testing or the battery charging coil, to check follow the wires back and it should go into the CDI unit if it is the ignition charge coil . If the igniton charge coil is not to spec it will affect the performance of the ignition . Just be sure you are not across the battery charge coil.

The wire go under the Fly wheel, it is to the stationary unit I beleive, when you say the CDI do you mean that?
