I have a 70' model crysler charger with a 105 crysler magnum outboard. My ? is my battery has a base charge of 12.86 volts and when I start the motor it shows 13.01 volts without any load other than the engine itself. Is this enough or is my generator not putting out enough charge? Any help would be apprieciated !!! :p

Not sure if this helps but my manual says it should be putting out 7 amps @4000rpms. Hope it helps.

Thank for the info. Is it save to rev that high when not in water though. My reading was at idle speed which was only about 350 to 400 rpm,s.

Hey Happyboat Guy. I read on some other post that you should not run engine above 1200rpm out of water. I would think 4000rpm could do some damage
