Tell me exactly what lake you are interested in, and its location.
I have a 798 and the Navionics card; I can post you a screen shot.

Re: chartography

Norris lake is very extensive and a quick glance shows a lot of detail is available.
Is there a particular section you would be most interested in? Marina? Lat. and Long.?
Otherwise I will just pick somewhere that looks interesting to me.

Re: chartography

Here are two screen shots of Norris lake of the area just West of the Dam.
The Left side is the included Base map of the 798.
The right side is the same area with a Navionics GOLD Card inserted.

Ooops! :embarassed: I just checked.

The card I have is the Hotmaps Premium East.

The good new is that it is $50 less expensive than the Gold.

Re: chartography

I think you are asking about cartography. Cartography is the art and science of making maps or charts.

Re: chartography

thanks Uncle Willie ,yes i looked at the hot maps east. its just what i need ,ive also learned there is one called lakemaster.hot maps is best i think but a little more costly. i installed the 798 and it is great i cant believe it. the only problem to date it sprays water 2 ft higher than motor my next project. when this ice and snow lets up.thanks again for all your help:joyous: Sorry jhebert i could have had a much better tittle, vocab not very good, i have learned what i was trying to get is a sd card that plugs into the unit for lake information, fortunately Uncle Willie knew what i needed again. thank you for your responce:joyous:

You are missing the rubber plug that fills the hole in the middle of the Transducer mount.
Call Humminbird an they will ship you one for free. Read This.

Also be sure you mount the transducer so that it has a clear view under the keel.
I know it is behind the transom, but it must be low enough to see under the extended Keel.
