So I have had a small amount of water running out on the side of the inner transom for a while now and went to check out why.
One thing that caught my eye was that the last person to put on a new shift belows used a zap strap at the skinny end and it was not really tight.
Are zap straps used instead of the crimp clamp.

Yep. Very common. I doubt that is the source of your leak. At least not at the end with the zip tie.

Well I guess the darn bell housing comes out and then I go a hunting again.

Before removing things - have you look closely to see where it might be coming in? You can pull the outdrive and check for water in the drive shaft area.

I had a look, and the upper bellows was dry.
So what I have left are the exaust bellows, water tube bushing (it did have a drip when we first got the tub), or I hope not the transom seal.
did I miss anything????

Well, it's not the exhaust bellows - you could remove the bellows completely and not have a leak.

It could be a corroded Y pipe or bad connection between the pipe and the transom assembly.

It could be the lower bolts corroded away and leaking.... but that usually happens when your transom is rotted out and wet.

You can put some water in the boat while on a trailer and see where it comes out.

Well, I think I may have found the reason for the drip.
The shifter cable bellows, at the large end was loose.
The hose clamp was not on very tight and there was no bellows adhesive applied.
You could tell that there was water in there due to the white corrosion.
I hope that's It!!!!
