I put this together with a heavy duty drill pump from Harbor Freight and some fittings & hose from Lowes. The output hose is cut so I can dump into either a 5gal bucket or a 5qt jug. Took about 10 seconds or so to get a prime and after that it probably took no more than a minute to empty the oil pan.

Harbor freight had a cheaper drill pump for $3 but it was only rated for water. This one was $12 and is rated for oil and chemicals. Tested it in a bucket of water and I was pretty surprised how fast it was. Used 3M 4200 sealant and wire ties since I already had them. Total cost about $19.

This is one handy dude. Self contained, hook it right to the boat's battery, reversable (there is a line that runs to the bottom ot the 5gal bucket) so it pumps the oil back out into the waste oil tank.
I can get both engines in a twin, and I've only replaced the impeller in it twice in 15 years of commercial use.
Oh, it'll suck the oil out of a big block chevy in about a minute and a half.

Sounds good. Do you have a parts list?
