cheap " L" shaped platform mount brkts??

I am looking to to install a platform on the back of my boat to be used for my cooler, not as a swim platform. All the L brackets seem to be stainless steel and rather pricey, and I really don't need anything that will support 200 lbs. I have seen boats in the past with pretty rugged looking plastic brackets but I cant seem to find who carries them. Any suggestions/alternatives?

You may only want it for a cooler, but 6 months from now when you take a friend out and you're not watching, he's gonna step on it. Or when you sell the boat, what's the next owner going to do with it? Just get the proper brackets and rest assured that you did the job and did it safely/properly.

Agree completely. I'd find the cheapest swim platform you can find and go with that. Added feature!
