I want to paint the inside of my boat , it is an old boat that I am going to sell.i want a decent cheap 30-40$ per gallon paint. Preferably something I can buy at Lowes. Something that will last a while without falling rite off. Any suggestions?
I do understand your reasoning for "cheap" paint. But if the job is worth doing, it is worth doing right...regardless if you are going to sell it or not... JMHO! Take the time to prep the surface and use some quality paint and do the job to the absolute best of your ability. That will sell your boat quicker then slopping on anything for a quick sell. If you were going to purchase a boat, wouldn't you want the seller to do a quality job? A good finish will speak for its self...
Acrylic Enamel Paint w/hardener (That's what's used in the suggested link) is inexpensive (Cheap) but will yield a very durable and quality finish. I and many others here on the forum have used it on our boats with great success. You can paint the inside of your boat with 2 quarts of it for well under $100 in paint costs. As stated Prep is the keep so by the time you buy sanding supplies, Solvents, PPE, etc. you may have more invested but...The quality of the finished product will be good. It will be something the next owner won't have anything to be ashamed of and neither will you.
