Where can i find a decent price on back to back seats? I have some folding single seats that are brand new in the garage from walmart but I dont think they are comfortable. I have the back to back seats in my boat right now from 1968 and they dont have much padding! I painted them with vynl paint and its holding up great they look good but are not comfortable at all.

Re: Cheap seats

cheapest I have seen em for is cabelas, they have some clearance or sale ones right now. But who knows I'm new to all this boating so take my word with a grain of salt. I have also been looking.

Re: Cheap seats

I checked out Cabelas. I didn't find any back to back boat seats. Though I did purchase two new vests. I'm probably going to take apart the ones I have for my Baretta and backwards engineer a pair for my Glasspar since they look to be similar to the ones in the old boat guides.
Though, if I was to redo the deck of my Baretta, I might just put single swivel seats in it, since it is a ski boat.
Cabelas is having a really great sale now with cheap prices. Must be making room for next years stock.

Re: Cheap seats

Those are the ones I was talking about, 149.99[/QUOTE]

Oh, I didn't see those. those are really nice. do you think they're comfortable laid out? they wouldn't be long enough for a person to lay out all the way. You'd have to have the feet supported. but they do look nice and the price is probably close or even cheaper than having mine redone. Plus, I need another pair anyway. Though I like the idea of the captains chairs for the Baretta.

Those look nicer than the ones I put in my boat and that's a great price.

My local West Marine has a 50% off seating. I got 2 back to back seats for $109 a piece! I like the heck out of them.:D

Well, I don't care much what I put in the Baretta, but I want the '64 Glasspar to look as close to classic as possible. And I don't suppose the b2b's have changed much in the last 40 years. I just have to try to match color.

Did you check right here on iboats? They have low price gaurantee, fast shipping and great service. Plus they keep this great sit going. If your looking for used try CL, might also try to post a barter add on CL someone may be looking to swap out their lounge seats.

Re: Cheap seats

No I haven't. but I usually go to sites where I get the most parts, and since iboats doesn't have much for my '61 merc 400-I've found a lot of sites don't start parts until '65- I haven't tried for anything else.
I know I should. Especially since I'm usually here anyway watching the forums. but it's a mental thing.
