check engine light on

I have a 150h.p. 2001 johnson ocean pro in which the check engine light comes on intermittently.The gauge also has the oil level light and temp. There doesnt seem to be a problem with either.My question is what types of issues does this sensor pick up, the engine seems to be running fine. The sensor goes off when the engine is running over 3000 rpm's and goes out when engine slows below 18oo rpm's.Thankyou Andy

Check Engine alarm is a fuel restriction. Check the antisiphon valve and fuel fiters for a restriction.
