I maybe getting a boat that came from Canada
it is a cutter boat model 215
s.n. 73031
beam 94"
numbers on it reads 35e9910
can anyone know were I can find
out if its stolen or any info on
this boat

Seems like you should call the rcmp in whatever province you think the boat is coming from. Has the seller got documentation on the boat?

he said he has paperwork to get it titled in pa

If he/she has a tittle for the boat and current valid ID, I would think you are in good shape. Checking to see if a boat is stolen isn't on my list as long as they have the above. Maybe I'm too honest?

I would wait till he has the correct paper work. Could of, would of, or should of dose not seam to work to well at the DMV.

Transport Canada issues the licence for all boats in Canada, but they will only provide details of current owner to Search & Rescue or Law Enforcement agencies.
The owner should be able to show you that licence, and you can then compare that to other identification he/she may have.

Take a cup of coffee and a couple of donuts to a local LEO, they can check for stolen (if it's been reported) without compromising personal info ...

The marine division of the RCMP should be able to help you out if you provide them with the HIN and maybe the engine serial number. You can also check out Stolen Boats, Engines, Trailers 778-229-6932 -- not sure how comprehensive their list is, but it's certainly a start.

If the boat was imported into the US , would customs not check the HIN out ?
