I have a feeling I'm missing something, maybe someone can point it out. I'll be using it in Colorado only.

'87 Celebrity 210V, OMC 350

5 life jackets, 3 are new
2 new flotation devices (seating pads)
2 fire extinguishes, 1 is new
first aid kit
1 whistle and 1 handheld air horn (original horn has a bad compressor under the floor, wifey says it goes "Woohoo chuga chuga chuga" lol)
all nav lights are working
25# anchor / 150' line
2 oars
prop splines greased
spare prop, a 15x17 is installed and a 14.5x19 as back up
2 fenders

I ran the engine on muffs and it hit 180 degrees after about 10 minutes with the exhaust manifolds warm to the touch. After new impeller and thermostat I ran it for just over an hour and temp stayed at 140 and exhaust manifolds were stone cold. Engine sounds solid with no water leaks and no water in the oil. All hoses appear to be in good shape, including the fuel lines. I also replaced the spark plugs/wires and planing on a new cap/rotor.

all oils changed including hydraulic fluids
flame arrester in place
bilge pump tested (with the plug in, I filled the bilge area with the garden hose)
blower is good
1 new battery, the other is testing good with a date code of 3/2009
I have a spare fuel filter on board

The boat is at a local marina right now, I'm having them pull the outdrive for a check up and also check the shift linkage
for proper adjustment.

trailer- '87 Shorelander
wheel bearings repacked
new tires
new wiring and lights
brakes still on the to do list
realigned rollers

I am looking to take it out towards the end of April so I'm not really into crunch time just yet, anyone have any pointers?

spare coils help and I always carry a wire spool and some wire connections just in case a wire goes and what about mooring lines and lines to tow incase something happens to u or a fellow boater and flash lights. OOOO and dont forget your buds no i dont mean Budweiser lol but a 24 pk doesn't hurt (of Mountain Dew for me) lol. I also i would (if i had the money) Install a second bilge just in case u get a leak to tuff for one to handle idk what size it is but i believe a rule of thumb is 18-20= 2 pumps and 21-28= 3 just as a safety precaution

And all applicable ins, Licenses, registration and safety courses. lol

EDIT: Cary some wrenches and a phillips head and flat head a pair of pliers and what ever tools you may want
typical bult sizes
3/8 1/2 9/16 5/8
is what i cary

How long are we going out for . . . A day, week, "3 hour tour"? . . . I don't see docking lines . . . I usually carry a tool kit.

Re: Check list before taking a used boat out on the water

I'm liking the idea of a 2nd bilge pump, would it need stand alone plumbing or can they be "Y"ed together? I think I also pick up a
boat hook.

I've got a tool bag with a lot of misc in it that I plan on taking along, I should have mentioned that.

So who here has enough storage to pack along everything needed for a "3 hour tour"? I know I don't ;) Our time on the water will
be depending on wifey's bladder capacity.

Got the boat back from the marina today, bellows was shot so gimbal and u-joints were replaced along with the interrupt switch. Hopefully it's ready to go now.
