check out my kegerator.

Not too hard too do if you have an old refrigerator you don't care about. The next step is to plumb tap into door. This old fridge had a bad evap fan wich is only a 20 replacement part. Grainger has a universal motor you buy with all the mounts already on it.

The refrigerant used is 134a even though it is a r12 unit. This is accomplished by using piercing valve to go into low side pipe off compressor. That and some jb weld on a broken high side line and viola! kegerator.

THis is not typical of an old broke fridge...usually the compressor burns out if it lost its gas while running. This one lost its gas while sitting outside over the years.

Re: check out my kegerator

Takes me back to my college days when my roomates and I had a beautiful kegerator and a bar down the street that sold us the kegs at cost. Ahh those were the days. Great looking kegerator....

you can search e-bay for some pretty cool tap handles, I used to have a kegerator buck when I was a bachelor and scored some from there, also if you see the reps from the beer companies driving around stop and ask them sometimes they might hook you up...they always seem to have stuff in their company cars.....
