Has anyone installed one of these? I have been experiencing vapor lock and tried idling and running blower, but I am still having issues.

I purchased the check valve today and it goes between the cool fuel cell and the thermostat. I have a 2004 5.0 MPI and I know the thermostat is on top of the center of the motor by the intake manifold, but I do question where the cool fuel cell is. Is it on the bottum left by the fuel filter / water seperator? My boat is about 150 miles away and I don't have internet connection other than my phone. I need to make sure I know exactly where it goes.

Off the top of your head do you know if it is on the starboard or port side. The fuel filter / water seperator is on the starboard side.

Re: Check Valve to prevent Vapor Lock

I installed a check valve at the end of last season. I had vapor lock and I did multiple things so not sure of the effectiveness of this, but (knock on wood!) I have not experienced it any more. (I increased the air flow to the engine compartment, reduced my storage in the engine compartment thereby increasing air volume, leave the fan on when changing skiers, and installed the housing around my fuel filter). My Cool Fuel connection was at the bottom of the engine. If you know which hose is the water intake to your engine, follow that down and it should connect to the cool fuel connection. I installed mine in the verticle section of the inlet hose. Make sure you mount it so you can get at the drain valve and it's not interfering with anything.

Wonder if they make a housing for the fuel filter for the 5.0 MPI

No sure but do a search on p/n 807807T to see what it looks like.
