Checking for spark ???

I recentley had a problem with my spark wires and had to replace them i bought all new ones and had to put them together by myself i change them one at a time and also changed the plugs my question is whats the best way to check to see if all four cylinders are getting the spark while the engines running any ideas ???

Make sure you wear a good set of gloves or use a rag or something to insulate you, then pull the plug wires from the plug one at a time with the engine running. As you pull a wire from a plug, listen for the engine sound to change and the rpm to change a bit. If it doesn't, that plug probably isn't sparking. If you don't insulate yourself well, you'll get an eye-opening experience! It hasn't killed me yet, but really gets my attention  every time it happens!

What fargin said will only tell you if that cylinder is supporting the engine running. For a spark test you need an adjustable spark tester that you can set the gap at least 7/16". Crank your engine and watch for spark. Should be a strong blue spark.

timing light used on each wire will tell you if you are getting spark to the plug.

Do a search for a homemade spark tester. I believe Joe Reeves had made one up with nails and a board that worked like a charm. If it wasn't Joe then I apologize to whoever it was.

I said that because he specifically asked how he could see if all four were getting spark while the engine was running. Guess I assumed that he already had confirmed spark while cranking.
