Id like to check the ignition timing on my 1995 E90JLEOR and the manual says to use a test wheel and not the flushing tool. How can I see if I'm 28deg BTDC at wide open throttle without the test wheel?

This timing is set at the factory and should be good for the life of the motor.---------Why do you suspect there is an issue with it ?

Look at the beginning of this forum for the Top Secret Files for the Joe Reeves procedure for setting timing. No running required, just cranking motor over. Or if you wanted a test prop to back the boat in the lake you can make one by cutting off the blades from an old prop equally until you reach a proper rpm.

Thought it might be something to check. No issues but doing general tune up etc......

10 years with no problem, the best advice from me is leave the WOT timing alone. Problems happen when somebody thinks they can do it better than the factory did. Unless major related parts have been replaced.
