I have a 2004 Yamaha 90 TLRD 2 stroke and horn does not seem to be functioning. When you turn the key from OFF to ON no buzzer sound. Is there anyway to test the horn to see if it is working by itself first?
I have unbolted switch and horn has yellow and red wire going to it. Tried running 12V to device with no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

Disconnect the lanyard at the 704 and turn the key on. That is the only way that I have found to activate the alarm for a test.

dissconect the stop lanyard and crank the engine or with the key on engine off unplug the pink overheat switch lead and ground the engine harness side.

would the "crank engine with lanyard disconnected" test apply to my 1999 Yamaha 90C also? I've never checked or heard my warning horn, but guess I should check to be sure it works. Thanks!
