I'm doing some checking on my engine. Checking the Block casting code of 471594, I was able to find that it is indeed a 3.8L 229ci chevy made from 80 to 84. There's also a casting of GM 38L0. There's another casting on the back which may be the date code. It's like L1102. The 0 in that code doesn't look like a 0. It's a round illegible blob. Would this number equate to Dec 11,1982?
Now the stamp on the starboard side front below the head really throws me. It has
