I am thinking about a new truck and really like the look of the Avalanche 1500 4 x 4.<br />I know it was Motor Trend 2002 truck of the year but anyone have any real everyday experience with this vehicle?
LC,<br /><br />Try this forum. I bought a 2004 Avalanche and other than a transmission problem (which seems to have been resolved) I love it. It is a Z-66 model, not a 4x4 but it tows more than I will ever need. One note though, It does not come with a transmission cooler Chevy Avalanche

to each his own...but yes I must admit that when they first came out I thought, "What the #*&@ and who the hell would buy that". <br /><br />After Chevrolet started offering the thing without the plastic body panels I started looking. Best riding "truck" I have owned.
I'll have to keep my eyes out for a non-plastic one. As far as the plastic version that I have seen... eeeewwwwwww<br /><br />but, if given one, I'd probably drive it vrs my ole '88
