I've just watched the third miner rescued after 68 days and I can't help but believe that the collective humanity of this world can do anything it sets it's mind to. What a testament to the spirit of us all and those men who've endured this incredible ordeal!
Never ever leave another unassisted. Be it on the water or 2800' underground.

I watched the first through the 4th, wow.
it is amazing how many people and how much equipment came from around the world.
and how the ell can you hit a tiny rock room when drilling through rock at 2040 feet below and nail it perfect.
but so far I think 10 are out and the equipment is still working so godspeed to them.

I'm just glad to see some good news on tv for once. What a story these guys will have to tell!

Especially that one whose wife AND girlfriend are waiting for him at the top.

I'd stay in the hole.:D

Yes, great news to see them coming out!

We watched them pull out the first one, then the wife wanted to wait around for the second one to come out TICK, TICK, it was kinda like watchin OJ's bronco going down the freeway in not so much hot pursuit.

I watched the first two come up last night and more this morning. What an inspirational story. Each one that makes it up safely is cause for celebration.

Didn't know about the dude with the wife/girlfriend though! That'll be interesting! :D

Day one, I sat in the dark, I worried and thought things, I tried to exercise.
Day two, I sat in the dark, I worried and thought things, I tried to exercise.
Day three, I sat in the dark, I worried and thought things, I tried to exercise.
Day four........I pooped.
Repeat .....

Hah ! It took an American to run the rig that actually made it thru to the hole they were in.
Several other shafts failed.

Good to see them free again!

CN Spots - I worked with a guy many years ago who was knocked unconscious in a motorcycle accident and woke up in the hospital with his wife on one side of the bed and his "new friend" on the other side. Lost his Harley and marriage in one day...

I read on aol news that he asked them both to be there and the wife refused!

I'm getting mesmerized by it. Can't wait to see the next one come up and the reaction from their families. I believe the american driller is right there greeting them too.
