I have a 1984 Mercury 70hp motor on my boat. It has an audible buzzer that beeps when either the engine gets warm or low oil in my tank. Recently it has very poor perfomance out of the hole which I don't know why and yesterday the buzzer started to quielty "chirp" or click but not a loud beep like when the oil warning comes on. Anyone have any experience with the buzzers and what it could be? Also looking for suggestions on the poor performance. It is only the 3rd tank of gas this year so thought it would work itself out but hasn't. On second tank of gas I threw in a jug of carb cleaner but that didn't seem to help. I changed plugs and no difference. Thinking it may have something to due with fuel. It doesn't miss, or cough or anything when I pin it, just seems like the motor draws down like a huge anchor is tied to it. Once I get going mid and top speeds are fine.
