Hello
my '76 V-4-85HP choke solenoid does not work any more at least I cannot hear it(solenoid) as before when I pressed the key switch. My question is, does the choke play a vital role when the engine is running? My engine starts fine with out it "ice cold." and starts fine after its warmed up as well. My engine cannot maintain WOT for more than ohh 7 seconds or more; it seems to be lacking fuel......the tanks/lines have all been changed. engine acting the same on new fuel pump as well as the old one. Frustrated...any thoughts??? and no the fuel lines have no leaks and I am not running 1000' of fuel line from tank to engine. 89 octane fresh fuel. thoughts???
as always your suggestions are appreciated..
Sincerely
