Choke???

I have a 1986 Skeeter Starfire 175 bass boat, I put a 1975 85HP Johnson on it, the controls on the boat are Johnson so they plugged right up but I don't see any buttons or switches to choke the motor to start, I been starting it with a squirt of starting fluid that I know I shouldn't be doing. Does anyone know where the chock button or switch is on this boat?

Usually on the key. You push it in.

Have you tried just pushing the key in while cranking the motor. Some controls are set up that way.
