HI
Me again. When I try to start the engine I noticed the choke circular plate in the carb is wide open. Shouldn't it be shut when trying to start a cold engine. LIke a vehicle when you start the motor sometime you have to give it gas (pedal) When I start this motor in neutral how do I give it gas and it stay in neutral? When I give it gas the prop turns. So I attempt to start in neutral and the choke stays open and I do not give it gas? Hope you understand what I am trying to say. Help

Re: Choke

What motor do you have? Ther choke isin't automatic you need to actuate it.
Some smaller motors are with a manual lever.Electric models need the key pushed in to make it work.Jerry
