MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE :)

i would like to buy a minn kota 55 trolling motor to use on both of my boats,,,,one boat is a 16 ft bowrider fiberglass(top of transom to bottom of boat is 20 inches),,,,,the other is a 12 ft aluminum(top of transom to bottom of boat is 16 inches) ,,,

didnt know if a 36in is too short or a 42in is too long,,,,,,,,wondered if i got a 42 in doe is it adjustable to slide up and down to raise and lower depth,,, or are they a fixed height,,im not sure how they work that way

Go to Minnkota's web site and follow their instructions for determining shaft length.

I have found that even if a shaft looks too long for a small boat it is easier to steer when standing up as in casting and retrieving.

I needed a 36" but bought a 48" -planned ahead for a change-because I but a taller boat last summer,and the 36" would not have worked!
