My first problem is that my starter (new as of 3 weeks ago) randomly gets stuck engaged when I start up the boat. I can even take the key out of the ignition and it keeps spinning. I did a little research and it looks like it may be the solenoid?
Next, my throttle seems to be suddenly really sensitive. the boat will go from around 15 mph up to 25-27 mph when I just barely touch the shifter. Usually I can get on a plane around 21 mph, but I cant get that speed anymore...its either slow, or near top speed.
Third, I seem to have lost some speed. Im docking the boat in the ocean for the first time. Im wondering if maybe I did a poor job with the bottom paint, and I have growth on the hull and this is slowing me down? I can top only get to around 32 mph, when in the past I could get around 42. Is there anything else that could cause this?
