Chris Craft shuts factory down

Chris Craft announced today it was closing the factory here in NC and everyone is out of a job.
Sad to see the economy going down the crapper...

On another note, our local RV dealer told me yesterday that sales have dropped in half this summer and they talking about shutting down too.
Its one of the largest RV dealers in the Southeast...:(

No one can afford to play anymore.

Yep, will get a lot worse before it turns around I am afraid.:(

it is hitting all of us. my project boats have had to slow down.

Stagflation all over again. Price of oil needs to come down to $80 and things will get better.

The result of 25 years of good times, people and businesses expect it will last forever.

Worldwide economic policies, booming China, ethanol bs, environmental extremists, etc -- all working together to crush us.

THe good news is that Wal-Mart has signed union contracts with about 90,000 of its Chinese workers. They get an 8% raise now, and another 8% next year. Well, its good for them.
