Chrylser 90 hp - What Year Please

Hallo everyone. I looked at a Chrysler 90 hp 4 cylinder earlier today. I told the guy I would give him an answer tonight during half time the Raiders - Broncos game. I have the model and serial number. Can someone please tell me the year?<br /><br />I e-mailed The Marine Doctor he thinks around 1983.<br /><br />Here is what I have:<br /><br />Model 908H3A<br />Serial: 1618<br /><br />Thanks - Johnny N

TMD ... isn't the wiring harness from the boat to the motor specific to each make? The 90 hp doesn't have one. I have one from one my three 85s. Would it work? They don't have tnt though.<br /><br />Johhny N

The 90hp will have a different ignition system on it. The controls should work..but you may have to wire the key different. I will not know for sure until I am at work tomorrow and can look at the wiring diagram.<br /><br />TMD

My fault. The 85s are 1970 -1973. The igintion systems are different. Getting ahead of myself. I'll send you a message from work early in the moring. I get in at 6:30 MDT.

I think so also. What he has looked like what I have for the 85s.<br /><br />Do you know of anyone who has or had a Chrylser Commando 151 center console boat?<br /><br />That's where the 90 is going to go.<br /><br />I know this is an engine forum.

Great boat to fish from. The Chrysler Crew has one in their factory brochures.<br /><br />I bought it with a 1982 Mercury 40 hp 2 cylinder. Couldn't push it all the way up onto plane. I the boat and Chrysler C-1700 trailer. I want to make it a complete Chrysler package.<br /><br />The Merc is a great runner. Sitting on my garage floor for now.<br /><br />Any idea on how much a Chrysler harness might cost a fellow?
