Did you open the vent on the gas tank?

Please post your model number. If vent on gas tank was closed while you ran it when it died chances are you blew the diaphram in the fuel pump. The part only cost about 3 bucks.

NAPA should have your fuel pump kit. Ask to see their marine catalog. Don't have the specifics on your engine but, take the cover off and look for a 1-2 inch glass bowl with fuel in it. That is your fuel pump/filter. Just replace the diaphragm and gasket and don't mess with the check valves. The kit comes with good instructions.

I believe the 10 HP has a single stage pump. It has reeds instead of fuel valves. Please post your model number so someone can direct you towards parts. It should be somewhere near the carb probably on a small plate. The number will look like 103H8E or maybe 103HD or 10601.
