Hello Group,
I bought a boat with a Chrylser 105 and have had it out 3 times and always the same problem. The engine starts and runs fine at any throttle setting until after about 35 or 40 mins and then starts missing and runs rough. I have replaced the fuel tank with a new plastic one, new fuel filter and still have the same problem. If I turn the engine off and wait and hour or so and start it up it runs fine again until after 30 or 40 mins starts missing.
Any thoughts or suggestions before I take it to dealer to see if they can find out what is wrong ? I have found most dealers do not know much about this engine because it has been out of production for 20 years or so.
How do these dealers really run and test a outboard or I/O for that matter and put a load on the engine like it would be in the water ?
