I might buy this boat for $400

Has a 1971 (I think) Chrysler 105 Hp

He says it has no spark....Did a little quick research learned about the "magna II" system and how thats junk...so I asked him for pics of the ignition system...

In my quick reading It stated somewhere that the belt driven ignition system could be pertronix, and I can get parts for it

I'm looking to flip this one....I'll either get it for parts (good trailer) but I wanted an opinion on what ignition system you think is shown in the photos he sent

Thanks

Dave

That is a Motorola Magna-Power distributor ignition. Parts can be found for it. It is a relatively trouble-free ignition compared to Magna-Power II.
