Chrysler 85 HP Gear Lube Capacity

What is the Gear Lube capacity of a 85 Chrysler (circa 1972) outboard. Thanks for your replys.... Free laugh, someone told the previous owner of my boat that the proper way to winterize the motor was to remove the shift pin to drain the gear oil, leave the pin out and the lower unit dry.
