Chrysler control cables, I need them longer

Hello, as summer flies by I am still trying to work the bugs out of my Johnson. So, to ensure I get out on the water this year, I bought a 1972 Chrysler 45hp outboard for my wooden boat. The only problem I can see (so far) is that the cables and wiring running from the controls are not long enough for my boat. My question is: are these cables and wires available in different lengths (without having to buy controls and all)? If so, where can I find them? Thanks.....

Upon further review, the wires are plenty long enough, but the cables are only 6 feet long, I need the cables to be 12 feet or so for my boat.

Look up the Chrysler Crew on the web...they should be able to help with stuff like that... :)

Question. Do you already have the control box? The cables are kind of useless without it. There are new aftermarket cables available.

I don't know if they will work but, check out ebay too. They had a couple of Chrysler cable sets up for bids.
