Chrysler 85 HP - 856HC Serial no 3019. Where can I find out year of mnfr for this great motor. I need a starter bendix replacement - any guidance on this highly appreciated.
Laddies - tks to you and Eurolava for fast response. Motor is older than I thought. "ARCO" -search engines take me to all sorts of sites unrelated to boats. Any other guidance on where I can source a starter bendix for the motor ? My daughter leaves Michigan end November and I have till mid November to source and get one to her. Tks for any assistance.
Your motor is definatly a 1971. HC was only produced that year and the following year was for the HD motor. The latest chrysler 85 HP was produced in 1984 and the starters and parts are no longer availible. You might get lucky on ebay or you can buy a whole new starter HERE . A bone yard like Twin City Outboard might have one as well I believe there web site is tcoutboard.com. Good luck
This is my first post. I just received a Chrysler 75. I was told it is a 1974 or 1975 year model. The model number is 757HA and the serial number is 8920. Can someone please varify what year this is so I can order parts confidently?
